The straight feathers almost look like crystals. If you were going for the impression, it worked, if not, well, you produced it! I like her hair here, the uneven and frazzled appearance suits this perfectly as well as looks great on Twily. And the thin legs and a lighter frame somehow underline both her femininity and fragility and the sheer power she has amassed. Well done!
Yes, I was thinking of drawing this "The hero has had enough" moment, that moment where the villain has pushed the hero too far and the hero finally snaps unleashing full strenght on the villain with no regard of controlling it in any way.
That's why Twilight is mad, and that's why she looks like she's been in a fight.
The idea was that with Twilight being a new alicorn, what if a villain pushed her to her limits? She would have a lot more, uncontrollable alicorn, power that she is not yet familiar with, making such a moment all the more spectacular and frightening.
